Dear Readers:
Summer is drawing to a close ... just a few more weeks before leaves start to turn, a nip returns to the air and the rain subsides (it's worth a try, right?). Our fall author line up is a departure from the past - most of the events are single author events. We're not dropping the panel format, but found that the authors that we are booking people that we wanted to hear a little more from. We'll return to the panel format and keep adding authors for signings and coffeehouses. Check the September newsletter for a final calendar (we've got some fun adult and children's authors still in the works).
The Lawton family is taking some time out in August. We're going to go to visit friends in Homer, Alaska in the early part of the month and coming home just in time to host TONY HORWITZ on AUGUST 12 at the ARCADIA COFFEE CO. talking about Captain Cook and his book BLUE LATITUDES. Then we're off on a camping trip for another few days. We'll be sure to relax and read a lot! Hopefully you all had some fun vacations - we can swap stories in the fall.
Thank you all for your support and loyalty as we expand our E. Putnam store and worked out all the little wrinkles that accompany a move. Have a safe end of summer and we'll see you around the stores!
Jenny, Thomas, Thomas and Nicholas Lawton
