Dear Readers,
2005 just whipped by! It feels like just a few weeks ago that I sat down to write "the catalog" and here I find that it's been a year. We've had a long year and, as is our style, we didn't keep still for long. We had some wonderful authors for grown-ups and children and are enjoying finding different uses for Arcadia. We introduced our first of a quarterly series just for Book Clubs. We moved Just Books to our location in Old Greenwich. We introduced Stellaluna to Old Greenwich.
What's in store for 2006? We're looking to have regular author events at Arcadia throughout the year. We tend to wind down over the summer because so many people are away. We are looking at a fantastic line-up and are really excited to get rolling!
We are still working on the children's authors for the winter and spring but are really excited to start out the New Year with a reading and signing by Robie Harris.
We've finally settled in to our consolidated home - it was a tight fit, but I think we're nearly settled. Keep calling for book deliveries at Greenwich Photo - we have a daily shuttle run to keep the shelves nestling books. We'll be launching a new website in the early part of 2006 that will have some interesting new features and promises to be very dynamic, up-to-date and engaging.
The biggest Thank You for your support and friendship throughout the year. 2005 was a very long year in many ways and we're looking forward to sharing an exciting 2006 with you!
