Plum Sykes
(Miramax; $23.95)
APRIL PUBLICATION DATE
Oh, Plum Sykes has done it again. Hardly high brow literature but irresistable nonetheless. In Bergdorf Blondes, Plum skewered the oh-so-wealthy of New York City, much to the delight and mortification of her readership. The beauty of Plum's books is that even if you are the subject, you must read because how else would you know what's being said about you ... kind of a core concept that Sykes takes to a new level.
This time around, Syke's picks on young divorcees with too much money and time and ... money on their side. This time instead of romping in New York City, we also get to go to wonderfully warm and equally over monied locations like Mustique and other exquisite resorts of the rich-and-famous. Much more in-depth than People but not much more insightful, this is the perfect read for a little guilty pleasure reading.
